Wednesday September 26 saw Victoria University host the inaugural Question and Answer (Q&A) panel discussion on Australia's Cultural identity.
A joint initiative of several Golden Key chapters from around Victoria, the evening saw discussion between Associate Professor Karen Farquharson, Multicultural Programs Coordinator at the Australian Foodball League (AFL) for Victoria Kashif Bouns, Co-Founder of youth interfaith organisation 'InterAction' Nivy Balachandran, Youth Convenor of the Australian Republican Movement Francis Ventura, and asylum seeker activist Michael Kelly.
Organizers agreed that the evening was very much a success, with most staying on afterwards, to mingle over a tasty spread of various finger food and drink.
"I though it went very well", said Samuel Pearson VU Chapter President. "From an organisers perspective, the evening went off with out a hitch. Although less people actually came than we were expecting, this didn't hinder an interesting discussion, with a fair amount of questions from the audience".
Golden Key members from other chapters were equally pleased agreeing that it was "awesome night" and that "we should do it again".
