What's the AGM?
The Annual General Meeting (AGM), is primarily a chance for Golden Key members to take on a position on the Executive Committee of their local chapter. This year, it will take place on:
Monday 21 October 6:00pm VU Flinders Campus Level 9, Room 9.15 It offers members the opportunity to make the most of their Golden Key membership, by taking on a leadership role on the VU Executive Committee (VUEC) through any one of the challenging and rewarding roles that comprise the VUEC. These allow members to develop their professional skills and to make an impact in the wider community. Select leaders will be prioritised for travel subsidies to attend the 2014 Golden Key Asia-Pacific Conference in Hobart, TAS - 13-15 February 2013 Find out more about the conference. Depending on your role, you may be involved in any or all of the following activities: - Print and online marketing/advertising/communications - Event management/logistics - Internal and external stakeholder management - Corporate liaison - Public speaking and volunteer facilitation - Budgeting and financial management The VUEC is typically responsible for planning, organising and implementing the Chapter’s events throughout the year. There are also opportunities to go interstate or overseas on regional Asia-Pacific conferences (held annually) or International Summits (held every two years). This is an exciting opportunity to work with talented, like-minded individuals, broaden your professional network and make a difference in the lives of others. Note: Only current Golden Key members are eligible and should be prepared to say few words as to why they are best suited for the role, in the event that more than one person wants it.
